INSTRUCTIONAL OUTCOMES

Practical Nursing: The program will prepare students to provide nursing care to clients in hospitals, nursing homes, home healthcare agencies, and other areas in healthcare. Upon satisfactory completion of the program the graduate is eligible to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing.  

Nursing Assistant: The program is designed to teach students hands-on care to residents of long-term care facilities.  The student will be trained in the classroom, laboratory and clinical settings in order to learn how to meet the resident’s physical and psychosocial needs, and to provide a safe environment for the residents. 

Medical Assistant.– Prepares students for an entry-level position as a Medical Assistant in a private physician’s office or clinic. This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills, expanding the traditional role of the Medical Assistant to include front and back office skills.

Home Health Aid.- This program is designed for entry-level Home Health Aide who will be employed by agencies to work in the patient’s homes. The students will be trained to proved consistent quality care for patients in their home setting and returning them to pre-episodic level with disease limitations and to maximize rehabilitation level function.

STUDENT PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Qualitative – 
A student must maintain a cumulative GPA of “C” (77%) or better in order to remain in school  and to be considered in good academic standing at each evaluation point.

Quantitative – Attendance is checked at each evaluation point. A student must have a least 80% attendance at the schedule clock hour evaluation period. or the students will be placed on financial aid warning for the next evaluation period.

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH PROGRAM
The student will be awarded a diploma upon completion of all required subjects, with a cumulative average of 77% or better, and demonstrating the ability to perform all required competencies, satisfaction of all financial obligations to the institute, placement interview an exit interview. Students may participate in the graduation ceremony and will be eligible for placement assistance, providing all graduation requirements have been met. Graduation ceremonies will be held one time a year.
